Kadagayaan is the founding-anniversary festival of Davao del Norte. The provincial government set the 2026 programme for 1 to 5 July, the province’s 59th anniversary. That week has passed. It is not a 2027 ticket.

What 2026 confirmed
On 5 June 2026 the Island Garden City of Samal reported a courtesy visit from Davao del Norte officials to plan Kadagayaan 2026. The city news release says the festival would be held from 1 to 5 July 2026, that it is the annual founding-anniversary celebration, and that 2026 was the 59th anniversary under the theme Davnor @59: Building a Legacy Beyond Borders. The same release lists trade fairs, cultural presentations and exhibits. That is the sourced calendar. A tourism blurb that says the festival culminates on 1 July and lasts a week is a different shape. Use the provincial dates for 2026, and do not merge them into a permanent week.
Do not confuse it with Kadayawan
Kadagayaan is the province of Davao del Norte. Kadayawan is Davao City, in August. They share a region and a similar-looking name. They are not the same booking. If your ticket says Davao City in August, you are not at Kadagayaan.
If you go next time
- Wait for the province to name the host grounds. A meeting in Samal does not mean the whole festival is on the island.
- The anniversary date used in 2026 was 1 July, inside a five-day run. Either fact alone is an incomplete plan.
- Trade-fair days and show days are different. Ask which day the cultural presentation is on.
- July in Davao is wet. Do not treat an open plaza as a confirmed rain plan.
